The founder and leader of Glorious Word Power Ministries International, Apostle Dr. Isaac Owusu-Bempah, has made a bold assertion about his spiritual influence on Ghana’s presidential elections.

In a recent interview, the renowned pastor declared that no one can ascend to the presidency of Ghana without his involvement, describing his role as pivotal in determining the outcome of the country’s elections.

Rev. Owusu Bempah on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, reflected on the spiritual dimensions of leadership and power in Ghana.

He made a profound biblical reference to the story of Jacob and Esau, in which Jacob, through divine intervention and the guidance of his mother Rebecca, received the blessings meant for Esau.

He drew a parallel between this biblical tale and Ghana’s political scene, particularly concerning former President John Dramani Mahama.

“The burden on John Mahama has been lifted because he needed a mighty hand on him, and that is my hand,” Rev. Owusu-Bempah said on Okay FM.

He explained that, initially, Mahama was spiritually hindered from becoming president again.

“I have said in the past that Mahama, due to circumstances, would never become president, and indeed, he lost the 2016 and 2020 elections. But in 2021, I declared in my church that the yoke on Mahama is now broken, and with persistence, he can ascend the presidency,” he revealed.

Rev. Owusu-Bempah went on to assert that he plays a crucial role in determining who becomes president of Ghana.

“I am very humbled and a man of God. I say this to the glory of God – no one can sit on the presidential throne without my involvement,” he said.

His remarks have ignited widespread debate across the country, with many questioning the extent of his influence and the role of religious leaders in politics. His claim that Mahama’s political future was dependent on his spiritual guidance has been particularly striking, given the upcoming 2024 presidential elections.

Over the years, Rev. Owusu-Bempah has made several predictions about Ghana’s political fortunes, including past elections, which have fueled both support and criticism.

With his latest remarks, he continues to stir conversation about the intersection of religion and politics in Ghana.

His statements have already sparked discussions and captured the attention of both the political and religious communities as Ghana’s 2024 elections draw near.
