GHOSPA Dumps Organised Labour Strike

The Government and Hospital Pharmacists Association (GHOSPA) has announced its decision not to join the nationwide strike by organized labour, citing its critical role in providing essential healthcare services to Ghanaians.

Despite this, GHOSPA has expressed solidarity with the labour unions concerns, particularly regarding the galamsey menace, and has called on the government to take immediate action.

In a statement, GHOSPA also acknowledged the vital role organized labour plays in advocating for workers’ welfare and the nation’s overall well-being.

The association believes that addressing the galamsey crisis requires a collaborative effort from Union groups, including the government, organized labour, and civil society.

GHOSPA’s decision to continue providing healthcare services is rooted in its commitment to ensuring consistent healthcare delivery, even amid industrial disputes.

“As part of the essential workforce, we are dedicated to ensuring that healthcare delivery remains consistent,” the statement read.
