Ghana needs a third force – Adansehene on NDC, NPP dominance

Opagyakotwere Bonsra Afriyie II believes a third can change Ghana's fortunes Opagyakotwere Bonsra Afriyie II believes a third can change Ghana’s fortunes

The Paramount chief of the Adansi Traditional Area, Adansehene Opagyakotwere Bonsra Afriyie II, has underscored the need for Ghana to have a third force that can change the fortunes of the country aside from the two major political parties in the country.

Opagyakotwere Bonsra Afriyie II has also accused the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) of state capture and taking everything to themselves instead of looking at the interests of the larger population.

Speaking at his palace on October 8, 2024, when the presidential candidate of the Movement for Change, Mr. Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen, visited him during his campaign in the Fomena Constituency of the Ashanti Region, Opagyakotwere Bonsra Afriyie II insisted that a third party like Alan’s can turn things around.

“Ghana needs a third party, no doubt about that,”  Opagyakotwere Bonsra Afriyie II stated categorically.

Addressing Mr. Kyerematen and his entourage at his palace, the Adansehene encouraged him (Alan) to explain his policies well to Ghanaians so that he (Alan) will win the December polls and save the country from the few politicians who have captured the state to their own benefit.

“But we will pray for you that your wish will come true so that you will save Ghana from that domination created by a few politicians by the two parties,”  he stressed.

“The election is about individual candidates, so we hope that your message will get to the people and be very well received,”  he added while praising the leader of Movement for Change for embarking on a decent campaign.
