Controversial media personality, Captain Smart, has sent out a strong warning to Ghanaians to start praying for two key figures in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) leadership. In his latest remarks on his morning show, “Onua Maakye, aired on Onua TV, Captain Smart specifically mentioned the Minister of Finance, Ken Ofori-Atta, and the former Speaker of Parliament, Professor Mike Ocquaye. He warned that both men could soon face severe challenges.
Captain Smart, known for his bold statements, urged Ghanaians who care about these individuals to begin interceding for them through prayer, as he believes they are at risk of facing doom. He did not specify the nature of this looming danger but hinted that it could be related to the current political and economic climate in the country.
His appeal for prayers comes amid rising tensions in Ghana, particularly around the ongoing protests against illegal mining, commonly known as galamsey. The protests have created unrest in several parts of the country, with many citizens expressing frustration over how the government has handled the situation.
Captain Smart connected his concerns for Ofori-Atta and Ocquaye to the broader issues facing the NPP leadership. He criticized the government’s treatment of the protesters, warning that continued repression of these demonstrations could result in public anger spiraling out of control. According to Captain Smart, if the government does not make significant changes soon, Ghana could face serious trouble from an increasingly angry and frustrated population, particularly young people who feel neglected by the system.
“If things don’t change soon, Ghana will be in serious trouble from angry young people,” he cautioned during the broadcast. He highlighted the growing unrest as a sign that the current leadership cannot continue to mistreat citizens and expect the situation to remain stable.
