The New Patriotic Party (NPP) is facing backlash on social media following claims that non-Muslims were paid to cheer for Vice President and NPP flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia during his visit to the Zongo community in Fadama, Accra, on October 6, 2024.
This event coincided with the National Maulid, the celebration of the Prophet Muhammad’s birth, led by the National Chief Imam.
