“Tell Abronye the NPP Lost, Forget About His Car” – Rev. Owusu-Bempah Responds to Critics

Rev. Isaac Owusu-Bempah, founder of the Glorious Word Power Ministry International, has issued a stern warning to key figures within the New Patriotic Party (NPP) who have criticized his recent prophecy as reported by Ghana Web on Sunday, October 6, 2024.

According to Rev. Owusu-Bempah, the prophecy that former President John Dramani Mahama would win the 2024 general elections was revealed to him by God, not based on personal conjecture.

The clergyman particularly addressed Ernest Owusu-Bempah, Deputy Communications Director of the NPP, and Kwame Baffoe, popularly known as Abronye DC, who had questioned the validity of his prophecy.

In an interview with Okay FM, Rev. Owusu-Bempah responded to remarks made by Abronye, who suggested that anyone predicting an NPP loss should place a bet with their car on the line. “Tell Abronye that elections have concluded and the NPP lost, so he should forget about his car.

I don’t even believe he has more than five cars. They should not provoke me; if they do, they will see.”

When asked about Ernest Owusu-Bempah’s comments, where the politician questioned God’s role in the NPP’s electoral success, the reverend said, “Tell Ernest Owusu-Bempah to shut up. I don’t have any issue with him.

I spoke based on what I had seen. If he is a prophet, I will let him know that he is nowhere near me spiritually.”

This tension followed a prayer Rev. Owusu-Bempah offered for John Mahama at a meeting between the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the clergy on October 1, 2024.

During the prayer, the prophet declared that due to Mahama’s good heart, God would grant him a second term as president. His prophecy has since stirred debate, particularly given Owusu-Bempah’s perceived affiliation with the NPP.
