Nana Kwame Bediako unveils Maryam Issaka Kriese as Running Mate

Independent Presidential Candidate and Leader of the New Force, Nana Kwame Bediako otherwise known as Cheddar, has unveiled Dr. Maryam Issaka Kriese as his running mate for the December 7 presidential election.

The announcement was made at a press conference in Kumasi, where Nana Bediako highlighted Maryam’s credentials and experience, saying she was the perfect choice to help him lead the country to prosperity.

“As Senior Manager at the Securities & Exchange Commission, Ghana, she helped shape the nation’s financial landscape through strategic oversight of investments, licensing of capital market operators, and the development of critical regulations. Her role in training market operators and educating investors places her at the forefront of financial empowerment,” he said.

Maryam Issaka Kriese is a distinguished academic who has taught at the University of Ghana Business School and the University of Professional Studies, Accra.

Her deep financial acumen is complemented by an impressive academic track record, including a PhD in Finance, an MBA, and advanced certifications in Islamic Finance and ERP software. She is a Muslim by religion and a well-known advocate for women’s rights.

The New Force has been gaining momentum in recent months, as many Ghanaians express frustration with the current state of politics in the country.

Nana Bediako and Maryam’s ticket is expected to be an alternative to the two leading political parties.

“Whether it’s reshaping policies, advancing financial education, or contributing to groundbreaking research, she stands as an indomitable force driving both Ghana and Africa toward financial inclusion and economic resilience.”

As the campaign season heats up, all eyes will be on Nana Bediako and Maryam as they crisscross the country, spreading their message of hope and change to the Ghanaian people.
