Some celebrities who are known affiliates of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) have joined the running mate, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, also known as NAPO, to campaign in the Ashanti Region.
The celebrities spotted at the event include gospel artistes Diana Asamoah, Nicholas Omane Acheampong, and popular actor Agya Koo.
The event was a health walk organized by the NPP on October 5, 2024, to galvanize support for the party as the 2024 general elections approaches.
Diana Asamoah mounted the platform to urge the audience to support the NPP massively in the elections and afterwards took the opportunity to perform a campaign song she has composed for the party’s flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
These celebrities have been staunch supporters of the NPP, defending the party and urging Ghanaians to vote for them in the general elections.
High-profile NPP personalities spotted at the event include the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the party, Bernard Antwi Boasiako, well known as Chairman Wontumi; the National Organiser, Henry Nana Boakye; the Member of Parliament for the Bantama constituency, Francis Asenso-Boakye, and others.
Despite the Ashanti Region being a stronghold of the NPP in general elections, party leaders continue to campaign vigorously to secure more votes for victory.
