MiniPay Cash Challenge: Use, Share Your Experience, and WIN!
Opera is excited to announce a great but simple challenge to Opera News Hub authors & Minipay ambassadors courtesy of a partnership between MiniPay and Tether.
Most authors and ambassadors are already familiar with MiniPay. A stablecoin wallet that is built on Celo. It is inside the Opera Mini browser that allows you to save, send, and receive funds instantly and is a gateway to a seamless, secure & accessible dollar wallet experience!
Tether is one of the three pockets available on Minipay. Launched in 2014, Tether tokens (USD₮) pioneered the stablecoin model and are the most widely traded. Tether tokens offer the stability and simplicity of fiat currencies (e.g., 1 USD₮ = 1 US Dollar) coupled with the innovative nature of blockchain technology, representing a perfect combination of both worlds.
The Challenge
The challenge is simple. Use the USDT pocket by Tether on MiniPay and share your experience with your readers through an informative and engaging article or video. 100 articles in each market (NG/ZA/KE/GH) with high-quality and most engagements and 500 most engaging videos will be awarded!

Article Challenge
Authors can share their best experiences with MiniPay and USDT through the ‘Trending Topic’ card on the Opera News Hub dashboard titled: ‘MiniPay & Tether Promotion’. This is very important as articles not submitted via this process will NOT be recorded for the challenge!
Conditions:
- Submit article through ‘MiniPay & Tether Promotion’ Trending Topic card
- The article MUST be relevant to the campaign
Rewards:
- The top 100 authors in each market will be awarded $5
- The reward will be paid in November 2024 along with hub payment through USDT
Note:
- An author can submit multiple articles.
- An author can win at most twice.

Video Challenge
Well, some users are more comfortable showing than telling. You are also covered with great rewards up for grabs. Anyone who saw this announcement, with a News Hub account or not, is welcome to participate in the Video Challenge.
Conditions/How to Participate:
- Create video content about Minipay & USDT

- Creators can submit multiple posts but will only win once with the best prize after the content is reviewed by Opera. The more you submit, the higher your chances to win.
- Videos should be as organic/real/credible as possible
Rewards:
- Top 1-10: $30
- Top 11-20: $20
- Top 21-50: $10
- Top 51- 500: $5
- The reward will be paid to the wallet number you submit in November 2024.
Criteria:
The top 500 videos/authors will be rewarded based on the following criteria:
- Quality & Relevance to the campaign
- Number of Views * 1
- Number of Likes/Loves * 50
- Number of Re-Tweets/Shares * 100
- Number of Comments * 100
