Residents of Cape Coast, Elmina, and surrounding communities can breathe a sigh of relief as the Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL) announces significant improvements in the water supply situation.
According to Stanley Martey, Chief Manager of PR and Communications, the Sekyere Hemang Water Treatment plant has seen a remarkable reduction in average turbidity, from 14,000 NTU to 9,000 NTU.
Improved Production
This development has led to a substantial increase in production at the plant, from 1,981,290 gallons per day to 2,773,807 gallons per day.
GWCL assures customers that every effort is being made to meet their water demands.
Collaboration and Appreciation
The company extends its gratitude to the Central Regional Security Council, led by Minister Justina Marigold Assan, for their efforts in improving the water supply situation.
The Regional Security Council is working to enhance the raw water source quality, and the public will receive periodic updates on any changes that may impact the water supply.
