Trade growth with Ghana is music to industry’s ears

Members of the Australian Industry Group are set to benefit from new export and import opportunities with Ghana following the launch of the Australian Ghanaian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Liverpool yesterday.

Ghana High Commissioner to Australia Samuel Yao Kumah, who delivered the keynote address at the lively event, said he anticipated the Chamber would facilitate further trade opportunities for Australian businesses in sectors such as agriculture, manufacturing and services.

Presently, most trade and work carried out by Australian companies in Ghana occurs in the mining industry.

Ai Group Regional Manager – NSW Terry Crotty, pictured at the launch below, shared an overview of the wide range of services that Ai Group provides to exporters through its International Competitiveness sector, managed by Shirley Ng.

State MP for Leppington Nathan Hagarty said the NSW Government supported and encouraged companies keen to explore the growing export opportunities to Ghana.
