Effutu NDC demands EC explanation over leaked nomination forms of PC

The leadership of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Effutu constituency is demanding an explanation from the Electoral Commission (EC) on how the nomination form of the Parliamentary Candidate for the area James Kofi Annan got leaked.

The Party is also seeking to be updated on an earlier petition sent to the EC about the illegal transfer of some three thousand votes to the constituency.

They also want the Municipal Chief Executive Kasim Zubeiru to desist from destroying billboards belonging to the Parliamentary candidate James Kofi Annan.

Speaking to the media, on Wednesday, October 2, after presenting a petition to the chief of Effutu Nenyi Ghartey VIII over the recent happenings in the constituency, secretary of the Party, Abraham Henry Arthur, called on the traditional authority to call the Municipal Chief Executive Kassim Zubeiru, the Electoral Commission to order, else they would advise themselves.

“We demand a full-scale investigation regarding the nomination documents of the NDC parliamentary candidate that got leaked and those behind it. MCE is called to order,  failure which the NDC will advise itself through any legitimate means.”
