Accra, Sept. 30, GNA – Mr. Leo Skarlatos , the Chief Executive Officer of AT( formerly of AirtelTigo) has urged music artistes to use more digital platforms to promote their music.
The AT boss, at the 3music Awards held at the La-Palm Royal Beach Hotel in Accra, expressed delight at witnessing how the digital space had transformed the music industry by becoming an effective vehicle to spread the works of artiste in the country and beyond.
He said, “It’s inspiring to see how artistes today are using digital tools to break barriers, reach wider audiences, and create movements that resonate beyond borders,” urging them to do more.
Mr Skalatos said AT was part of an ecosystem that fostered that kind of “digital creativity and innovation”.
The winner of this year’s Digital Act of the Year award, Samuel Adu Frimpong, widely known as “Medical” was acknowledged for his outstanding contribution to the digital music space.
With millions of streams, the “Omuada” hitmaker has engaged social media presence, and innovative content that was said to have captivated audiences.
The Digital Act of the Year category was a fiercely contested award.
It honoured musicians who had leveraged digital platforms and made significant impact by showcasing exceptional innovation in their use of technology to engage their audiences globally.
The 2024 3Music awards was a night filled with glitz, glamour, and various degrees of electrifying performances from some of Ghana’s finest musicians like Nacee, Akwaboah, Kweku Smoke, Piesie Esther, among many others.
The 3 Music Award is Ghanaian music awards ceremony held annually since 2018 to celebrate Ghanaian music. It was established by the 3Music Network.
