Entertainment pundit and host, EL Baby, known in real life as Emmanuel Adam, has made a bold prediction, throwing his full support behind Afrobeat sensation, King Promise, for this year’s 3Music Awards, set to take place on September 28.
Speaking exclusively with NewsOne, EL Baby declared a confident 100 per cent win for King Promise in the highly competitive Artiste of the Year (AOTY) category, which features heavyweights like Black Sherif, Kuami Eugene, Medikal, Mr. Drew, Nacee, Sarkodie, and Stonebwoy.
“King Promise stands tall among the selected artistes for this year’s edition,” he stated emphatically.
Having closely followed the music scene for years, EL Baby noted that while all contenders have had a remarkable year, none can compare to King Promise’s achievements.
“All categories have done tremendously well this year, but what King has accomplished is on another level,” he added.
Highlighting King Promise’s groundbreaking Asia tour, where he made history as the first Ghanaian artiste to sell out concerts in Singapore and other major cities like Bali and Jakarta, EL Baby emphasised the significance of these milestones.
“This guy has given us back-to-back hit songs—from ‘Terminator’ to launching his ‘True to Self’ album. It’s amazing, and I believe this year’s Artist of the Year category belongs to him.”
The 3Music Awards will be held at The Palms Convention Centre on September 28, 2024.
