Suspect threatening to harm public officials arrested

The Ghana Police Service has arrested Ibrahim Mohammed, a suspect who threatened to shoot and harm public officials in a viral video.

A GH¢50,000 reward was offered for information leading to his arrest after he was declared wanted on September 9, 2024.

In the video, Mohammed, who identified himself as Kanawu, made threats against public officials and anyone who stood in his way.

The Police, in a social media post [X] announced the suspect’s arrest, confirming that Mohammed was taken into custody on Wednesday, September 11, 2024.

According to the Police statement, Mohammed will face the law and undergo due process.
