By Opesika Tetteh Puplampu

Luhuese-Ada, Sept. 10, GNA – Ms Dornukie Naa Norteye, the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) parliamentary candidate for the Ada Constituency, has filed her nomination to contest in the 2024 parliamentary election.

Ms Norteye submitted her documents at the Ada East District office of the Electoral Commission at Luhuese at Big Ada in the Greater Accra Region.

She told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that she was committed to serving the people and elevate the status of the constituency, hence her chosen slogan: “Ada Deserves Better, Ada Deserves More.”

She said she would prioritise developmental projects, education, and improve infrastructure within the constituency.

Ms Nortey said she would help to uplift the standard of living of the people through effective leadership and collaboration with relevant stakeholders across the globe due to the already existing network she has with business owners.

With the nomination done, she said she was poised to embark on an aggressive campaign to secure a win for the party both in the presidential and parliamentary elections.

Her supporters described her as the ideal candidate to turn the fortunes of the constituency around.

Mr Renald Amarteyfio, the Ada East District Director of the Electoral Commission, said two people had filed in the constituency as of Monday, noting that his office had no idea of the number of people that picked the forms in a particular district and, therefore, could not tell those who would be filing.
