Jinapor calls for a united front for 2024 Election as he files for re-election

The Minister for Lands and Natural Resources and Member of Parliament (MP) for Damongo, Samuel Abu Jinapor, has officially filed his nomination forms for re-election as the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) parliamentary candidate for the Damongo constituency in the 2024 general elections.

Speaking after submitting his forms at the Electoral Commission’s office in Damongo, Jinapor emphasized the importance of unity within the party, stating that a cohesive front would ensure victory in the upcoming elections.

He also highlighted upcoming development projects, including a major road transformation in the constituency under the District Roads Improvement Project (DRIP), which he said would be visible in the last three months leading up to the election.

Jinapor touted the NPP’s achievements in agriculture, job creation, and infrastructure, expressing confidence that the people of Damongo are ready to retain him as MP and help elect Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as the next president of Ghana.

Running unopposed for the second consecutive time as the NPP’s parliamentary candidate, Jinapor will once again face former MP Adam Mutawakilu of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), whom he defeated in 2020.

The Damongo constituency, one of seven in the Savannah Region, has traditionally been an NDC stronghold since 1993.
