Election 2024: We have to work hard to retain NPP in power – Bawumia tells party faithful after filing nomination

The flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia officially filed his nomination for the presidential election on Monday, September 9,2024.

Briefing the media at the party headquarters after the filing of the nomination, Dr. Bawumia stated that “I am humbled and privileged to have filed my nomination today”.

“Just about a year ago, many people were questioning about whether I will lead the NPP or different person and here I am today,” he said.

The Flagbearer said, “it is good that we are back in good shape, and we have to work hard and come together in every area, every constituency and every region to let NPP stay in power”.

“At first the NDC were seeing themselves as confident, but now they are angry as they see themselves losing”.

“I am urging you all to come together to have a peaceful election. It is only people who don’t have ideas who will fight and not us,” he added.
