Two of the most prominent names in Ghanaian sports media, Bright Kankam Boadu of Pure FM and Akwasi Bonsrah, alias Super Obondede, formerly of Light FM, who engaged in a verbal exchange at the peak of the media war between the camps of Nana Yaw Amponsah and Kwame Kyei over the management of Asante Kotoko, have quashed their beef.
It will be recalled that Bright Kankam Boadu stormed the studios of Light FM in April 2023 to register his displeasure over certain statements made against him by Super Obondede.
In a heated exchange on the media platform, Kankam Boadu dared Super Obondede to carry out a threat he had issued on the platform to physically assault Kankam Boadu.
But in a fresh move, the two men seem to have buried the hatchet and allowed peace to prevail.
A video circulating on sports media platforms captures the two men in a hearty conversation after Super Obondede made an appearance on Kankam Boadu’s show on Pure FM.
Super Obondede, in disclosing the purpose of his visit, explained that it has been a tradition of his to visit Pure FM whenever he is making a move in his media career and that his latest visit was in respect of the tradition.
He disclosed that he came to have the blessings of Kankam Boadu as he transitions from Light FM to Agyapa FM, having spent six years with the former.
Kankam Boadu also welcomed him and assured him that he harboured no ill feelings towards him.
