Ghanaian lawyer, and political commentator Kwame Jantuah has dared president Akufo-Addo and the members of the ruling New Patriotic Party(NPP) to sue the Opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) over the president’s claims that the ‘Agyapadie’ document is a conspiracy cooked by the NDC.
This 38-page document, which lacks a recognized author, prominently features the Okyenhene, Osagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panin, President Nana Akufo-Addo, and his father.
It is alleged to outline a master plan by the Akyem faction within the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to dominate various sectors of the country, including the economy, politics, media, judiciary, telecommunications, and banking; a claim AKufo-Addo has outrightly denied calling it a fabrication by the NDC to gain an advantage in the upcoming elections.
However, Lawyer Jantuah has challenged Akufo-Addo to sue the NDC if he thinks this 38 page document is to taint his image and that of his Akyem natives in NPP.
The president should sue the NDC if he is sure they have no knowledge about the document and the validity of its contents.
“If this was conspiracy and it was done by the opposition why haven’t they taken it to court? If they say they know nothing about it and somebody has used Okyehene’s picture and the president’s picture in the document, this is character assasination and they nothing about it why haven’t they taken it to court?
I would have wished the president didn’t bring this up. You know why if the president is saying its conspiracy from opposition, why is it that….; who’s picture is here?
