Parliament has assured FC Samartex of support ahead of their CAF Champions League participation.
The reigning Ghana Premier League champions presented the trophy to the leadership of Parliament on Wednesday, July 24.
Speaker of Parliament Alban Bagbin extended his congratulations to FC Samartex on behalf of the Members of Parliament.
He praised their historic achievement and assured them of his full support as they prepare for the upcoming CAF Champions League.
Under the guidance of head coach Nurudeen Amadu, FC Samartex secured the title for the 2023/24 season. As a result, they will represent Ghana in the 2024/25 CAF Champions League.
During the visit, club president Dr Richard Nsenkyire presented replica jerseys and other club memorabilia to the Parliament leadership.
Currently, in their pre-season training in the Eastern Region, Samartex will face Cameroonian team Victoria United in the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League on August 16.
