Flagbearer for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has given a strong indication of prioritizing agriculture.
He is of the view that farming is what will help reduce the prices of foodstuff especially when the best agricultural practices.
In this vein, the NPP flagbearer says under his leadership, Ghanaian farmers will switch from the use of fertilizer to the use of lime.
He believes that lime fertilizes Ghana’s lands and therefore will help increase the yield of farmers.
“We are going to move away from the normal fertilizer to lime. Lime makes our soils very fertile and we have lime in Ghana so we are going to help our farmers use lime,” he said while addressing a charged crowd in the Wa East District.
