Digitalisation is Bawumia’s ‘positive legacy’ – Guru NKZ –

Guru has said Dr Mahamudu Bawumia is leaving “a positive legacy”.

He was commenting on the digitalisation drive championed by Vice President Bawumia.

Guru NKZ sat with Berla Mundi on TV3 discussing his campaign for the University of Ghana (UG) Students Representative Council (SRC) presidency.

He had asserted how outmoded and inconvenient student ID cards are, “meanwhile, we have thumbs” to use for identification through biometric technology.

Berla remarked that being on a digitalisation drive made him the Bawumia of UG-Legon.

Initially, the star rapper and entrepreneur gestured with his hand that he did not want to wade into national politics.

“I’m begging you,” he said, chuckling.

“It’s positive. He’s leaving a positive legacy,” Guru added.

Born Maradona Adjei Yeboah, the music executive seeks the powers of the UG-SRC presidency to reduce school fees and to make medical care more accessible, among other things.

Meanwhile, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, is famed for mobile money interoperability across networks and realising the revolutionary and long-envisioned comprehensive biometric ID card called the Ghana Card.
