The General Secretary of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Prosper Harrison Addo, has called on all football stakeholders in Ghana to take responsibility for the state of the game in the country.
He emphasized that for football to be played fairly, everyone involved must treat the games as if they were their personal property.
Harrison Addo pointed out that people often make various allegations during radio interviews but fail to explain themselves when appearing before the Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association.
“When it comes to committee sittings, I’ve been the Disciplinary Committee Chairman before. Players come and cry, forget what they say on radio,” he said at the 2024 Afro Sport Summit.
“People will be interviewed on radio, and they will say all sorts of things and be mature about things, but when they come before the committee, you ask one question, and they’ll start crying.
“There are people who say they are soothsayers who says they can see the score lines, I don’t doubt them I don’t worry about them.
“All I want is the game to be played fairly, and the burden is on all of us, including the supporters. That burden is on all of us. Sometimes, it’s funny you hear club officials saying and the GFA, you are the GFA.”
