In a light-hearted exchange, Ghanaian comedian Funny Face encountered esteemed footballer Asamoah Gyan in Kumasi, Ashanti Region.
Upon entering the room, Funny Face loudly extolled Gyan, praising him as one of the world’s premier footballers, which led to a playful rebuke from Gyan.
He humorously asked Funny Face to lower his voice and chided him for his “stupid” antics on the internet.
Their meeting continued with laughter and a casual conversation about personal matters. In a video shared by Express GH TV on their YouTube channel, Funny Face said in Twi, “This is Asamoah! Let us show Asamoah Gyan, one of the best footballers in the world. But today, he will see something.”
During the conversation, Gyan interjected jovially, saying, “Don’t you respect? I came to Kumasi to help Ghana. On July 6, there is a programme and you are here misbehaving. Today I came for you, those stupid things you’ve been doing on the internet…”
Gyan’s visit to Kumasi was part of a commitment to a program scheduled for July 6, aimed at aiding Ghana.
He lightly scolded Funny Face for his behavior in the context of this commitment.
This multi-disciplinary championship is designed to rejuvenate grassroots sports across the country’s 16 regions.
The project involves regional trials to identify top athletes who will compete against their counterparts from other regions.
