The founder and leader of Anointed Palace Chapel (ACP), Rev. Kwaku Agyei Antwi, also known as Rev. Obofour, has reiterated his stance that there are no genuine men of God in the country.
He asserted that only Jesus Christ is recognized as the true path to knowing God, and no one can claim sainthood apart from Him.
He argued that if a pastor claims to be genuine, it suggests perfection, a concept that he believes the Bible does not support, hence his statement.
The clergyman pointed out that pastors who criticize him and assert their genuineness are likely misinformed and may be misleading their followers. He also cautioned his critics to consider their words carefully.
“If any man of God declares himself to be genuine, I would call him a foolish man. Such a person is deceitful. They have been misleading people for too long. While I respect pastors, claiming genuineness implies dishonesty.
“Being genuine would mean being perfect, but Jesus said He is the way to the Father. So, who else can claim that? We all rely on God’s grace. Be cautious when discussing this matter. Listen to me carefully, or it will be regarded as foolishness,” he expressed in Twi in a video posted by Zionfelix on Instagram.
It will be recalled that Rev. Obofour’s earlier criticism centred on allegations of moral failings among some pastors, including adultery leading to divorce and involvement in immoral activities like threesomes.
He argued that such behaviour undermines the authenticity of spiritual leadership in Ghana and urged people to trust in God rather than flawed human beings.
Kumchacha and other individuals have criticized the assertion, saying it denigrates the image of pastors in the country.
