Police investigate death of two minors in Kakpayili

The Ghana Police Service has initiated an investigation into the deaths of two minors in Kakpayili, a suburb of Tamale in the Northern Region.

The children, Arafat and Ayaa, were reported missing on June 25, 2024, and their bodies were discovered on June 30, 2024, in an abandoned vehicle in the community.

Efforts by community members to search the house of the alleged neighbours yielded no results, leading to agitation among the residents.

According to Alhaji Hafiz Andani, the assembly member for the Kakpagyili electoral area, police investigations on Sunday revealed that the bodies were found in an abandoned car parked behind the suspect’s house.

The Police in a statement on [X]  explained that it has taken custody of the bodies, which have been sent to the Tamale Teaching Hospital Morgue for further examination and autopsy.
