I don’t know why people wanted me arrested over LilWin’s accident – Prophet Adom Kyei –

The head pastor of Believers Worship Center, Prophet Stephen Adom Kyei-Duah, has expressed his dismay over the criticism he faced following actor LilWin’s accident, which resulted in the death of 3-year-old Tawiah Ampomah.

According to him, he is confused as to why some people called for his arrest after the actor’s tragic accident.

The prophet clarified that LilWin visited his church to give thanks to God after the accident, contrary to claims by some that he was there to fellowship.

“It became widespread news that he [LilWin] came to my church to thank God, which only served to provoke people further. It has reached a point where, as a man of God, if a church member has an accident, they call for an arrest. Kyei Cudjoe, they said they should come and arrest me,” he said in Twi during a sermon to his congregation.

Adom Kyei-Duah also mentioned that LilWin was coughing up blood when he attended the movie premiere, and without divine intervention, the actor might not have survived that night.

“LilWin was compelled to attend his movie premiere, and if not for God’s grace, we would have faced serious trouble. He was coughing up blood all night; he could have died without the Lord’s intervention.”

In a significant development, LilWin removed the neck brace he had been wearing since the accident after the pastor prayed for him.

LilWin was arrested on Monday, June 3, 2024, in connection with a vehicle accident he was involved in, which sadly led to the death of a three-year-old boy.

The Asokore Mampong District Court granted him a GH¢50,000 bail with two sureties.

Facing charges of dangerous driving and causing harm through negligence, the case was adjourned by the court from June 27 to July 29, 2024.

This adjournment followed the prosecution officer, Assistant Superintendent of Police Emelia Owusu Ansah, informing the court that the docket had been sent to the Attorney General’s department for review and advice.

A video surfaced showing LilWin recording a song with singer Kwaku Flick while on a hospital bed.

The actor has faced intense scrutiny for his handling of the accident’s aftermath.
