Ghana defender Tariq Lamptey backs compatriot Ibrahim Osman to excel at Brighton –

Ghana international Tariq Lamptey has spoken highly of his compatriot, Ibrahim Osman.

The two were part of the Black Stars squad earlier this month when Ghana defeated Mali and the Central African Republic in the qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Now, the duo will play together at Brighton & Hove Albion.

In an interview, Tariq Lamptey described his new Brighton & Hove Albion teammate as a very good player.

“He is expecting the talented forward to do very well in England,” Lamptey said.

“You know that Ibrahim Osman is a really good player. He’s young but he’s really good; he’s hard-working, so I’m really excited to welcome him into the squad,” Tariq Lamptey was quoted as saying in The Argus.

The Ghana defender added, “We’ve already spoken about it at the last (Ghana) camp. He’s a good guy, and I think he’ll do well, so I’ll help him out. It will be good just to enjoy his football—that’s what it’s about.”

In his debut season in England, Ibrahim Osman will have Tariq Lamptey by his side to help him feel at home and blend in.
