Fifi Kwetey, Sam George, Bola Ray react to Afronitaaa and Abigail’s BGT finals position –

The performance of the renowned Ghanaian dancing duo, Afronitaaa and Abigail, at the 2024 Britain’s Got Talent finals in the UK has sparked reactions from some prominent personalities in the country.

Among them, the Member of Parliament for the Ningo-Prampram constituency, Sam Nartey George, commended the dancing duo for making Ghana proud on the global stage.

“My girl Abigail & her partner, Afronitaaa, have shut down #BGT tonight. We have won the hearts & minds of the entire world. This is Ningo-Prampram to the entire world. We started from Talented Kids; we have conquered #BGT. Watch out for our next international stage! #On God,” he wrote on X.

Additionally, the General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, congratulated Afronitaaa and Abigail for their performance at Britain’s Got Talent which made Ghanaians proud.

In a post on X, Kwetey said, “Congratulations to Afronitaaa and Abigail for putting Ghana on the map with your outstanding performance. We are all so proud of you!”

Prominent media personality, Bola Ray, noted that the third-place finish at the talent show is an indication of their diligence, which makes the nation proud.

“Congratulations to Afronitaaa and Abigail. Your 3rd place at Britain’s Got Talent #BGT is a testament to your hard work, dedication, and sheer talent. You made us all proud. Well done,” he wrote on X.

The reactions come after Afronitaaa and Abigail were named the third-best act in the 2024 edition of Britain’s Got Talent. The duo, favorites among judges and fans, missed out on the £250,000 prize money despite a captivating dance performance on Sunday, June 2, 2024.

They were surpassed by Jack Rhodes, who finished second, and Sydine Christmas, who won the prize money and the chance to perform at the Royal Variety Performance.

The story of Afronitaaa and her protégé, Abigail, touched the hearts of the BGT audience and judges from their audition.

Abigail’s ability to dance in sync with Afronitaaa, despite being hearing-impaired, garnered praise for the duo throughout the competition.
