24-Hour economy should be the goal of every country – Abu Sakara –

A member of the Alliance For Revolutionary Change (ARC), Dr Michael Abu Sakara Foster finds nothing wrong with the John Dramani Mahama’s 24-hour economy policy proposal.

He believes that as a country looking for growth, Ghana would need to work towards reaching where the economy runs on a 24-hour basis.

Dr Michael Abu Sakara Foster was speaking to Accra-based GhOne Television when he made this known.

“If you are in debt, you have to work harder and longer to get out of debt. I don’t see anything wrong with the 24-hour economy. That is where you should be headed. If you are going to have growth, you should look for ways in which you can work harder and longer to overcome the negatives and start getting into the positives.

That is what countries have done. If you look at Japan after the Second World War, completely devastated, they worked very hard, very long hours, and they had a saving culture as well. So as well as working harder and longer, we can’t afford to blow the money on things that don’t increase our wealth,” he said.
