Mahama can solve Accra’s water crisis, he has a track record

The campaign team of John Dramani Mahama, the 2024 flagbearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), asserts that Mr. Mahama can address Accra’s water challenges.

The team says that his track record of significant water production across the country supports this claim.

In response to Accra’s recent water shortages, which Ghana Water Limited attributes to the city’s burgeoning population, Mr. Mahama unveiled a comprehensive strategy to enhance water accessibility in the capital.

During his Building Ghana Tour, Mr. Mahama emphasized the urgency of proactive measures to tackle the pressing water crisis.

He highlighted the rapid urbanization of Accra and stressed the necessity of foresight in managing water resources effectively.

Speaking in an Eyewitness News interview with Selorm Adonoo on Citi FM on Tuesday, Beatrice Annan, the spokesperson for Mr. Mahama’s campaign team, reiterated the former president’s achievements in water management.

She stated, “If you check the facts from the Ministry, you would realize that President Mahama added 77.6 million gallons of water to the national production. In Greater Accra alone, President Mahama contributed an additional 40 million gallons.”

“So he is somebody who has an achievement in the area of water. And so he is just not speaking.”
