General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Worldwide, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, has acknowledgment that before he became born again, he engaged in unpleasant actions with one of his ex-girlfriends.
This confession was made by the celebrated man of God during a Special Holy Ghost Congress held on Sunday Jan 28 2024, in Port Harcourt, Rivers State under the theme, “Promoted for a purpose.”
The Pastor noted that he had several girlfriends, but there was one in particular with whom he was involved in inappropriate activities.
“It happened that before I got born again, I was rotten, I mean really rotten. I had many girlfriends. And this particular one, what I did with her was awful. Of course, I won’t tell you. But after I became pastor, I got married, and my ex-girlfriend got married. One day, she came to our church to seek healing for his child, who could not walk. When she got to her turn and she saw me, she was surprised. She asked to see the pastor, and I told her that I’m the pastor. She retorted: ‘You? You mean you will pray and God will hear?’ And I said yes. And we prayed a simple prayer and the child began to walk, ” the Man of God revealed.
Meanwhile in 2023, During the RCCG Holy Ghost Service at the 71st Annual Convention, the revered man of God called upon the church members to pray for his death if he is consulting demons for performing miracles, signs, and wonders.
This declaration came in response to accusations by some prophets who alleged that Adeboye used demonic powers in leading the church and delivering messages to the congregation.
Adeboye addressed the congregation, urging them to pray for his demise before sunrise if there is any truth to these allegations.
Initially ignoring the rumors, he decided to address them to prevent any misunderstanding among believers.
“But, I learned that recently some people are saying Pastor Adeboye is using demonic forces, that there are some demons at Redemption Camp, that Pastor Adeboye will consult. Then, He would come and say ‘My Daddy said’.
“I just felt I should not pay any attention, but they said they put these things on the internet. Then, when I was praying, I think about two or three days ago, as I was praying for the Convention naturally, then I felt the leading, that there might be some people, who might believe this thing.”
He asked the congregation to pray, “If there is any connection between him and forces of darkness. You are going to call on Almighty God, kill him before the sun rises so that he doesn’t spoil Your Name.
“So, that he doesn’t lead several innocent people to hell. Then, you add to that prayer. Say Father, but if this boy (Adeboye) is using your power and your power alone, then multiply that power seven folds.”
