Apologize to Ghanaians- Nyantakyi Orders GFA

Former GFA president, Kwesi Nyantakyi has ordered the present GFA to apologize to Ghanaians as soon as possible.

This comes after the abysmal performance of the Black Stars in the ongoing AFCON.

The Black Stars have currently exited the AFCON after losing their first match with Cape Verde and playing a draw with Egypt and Mozambique.

According to Kwesi Nyantakyi, the GFA, which manages the Black Stars team for the people of Ghana should apologize to Ghanaians for the abysmal performance.

He claims even during his time when the Black Stars were able to go to the semi-finals he still had to come out to apologize to Ghanaians for disappointing them.

“And so if somehow the management of the team did not lead to the desired results that they expected, the management and the FA must come out and apologize. I have done it in the past. Even though in our case 2012 we got to the semi-finals”, he said.

He added that “I think Ghanaians are entitled to get angry because Ghana deserves the best and if we fall short, whoever played a role in that should apologize to the people”.

Meanwhile, the Black Stars have come back home after exiting the AFCON with just two points.

In videos flying on social media, the Black Stars are seen being welcomed by Ghanaians at the Kotoka International Airport.
