Credit Unions to hold talks on innovation and technology as chargers among Credit Unions

Cyprian K. A. Basing, the General Manager of the Ghana Cooperative Credit Union Association (CUA), would be speaking at this year’s Credit Unions Innovation Forum, which will take place from the 13th to the 15th of September 2023 at the Credit Union’s Training Center (CUTrac).

The theme for this year’s forum is ‘Using Innovation and Technology as Changers for Credit Union Growth’.

As technology advances, the Ghana Cooperative Credit Union Association (CUA), in collaboration with Lexbert Multimedia and Microwatch, believes it is appropriate to bring together facilitators and participants from across the country to deliberate and share their expertise on the theme of this year’s forum.

The forum aims to provide Credit Union Chairpersons, Committees, and Management with knowledge that will enable them to support the growth of their Credit Unions and better position them as preferred financial institutions in Ghana and abroad.

Also, a vastly interactive discourse will be facilitated by pundits’ in the corporate and Financial industries with remarkable strides in forecasting, planning, executing, and monitoring corporate policies to effect positive innovative modules that will improve Credit Unions for sustainable development.

On the first day of the forum, Cyprian K. A. Basing, the General Manager for CUA, will deliver the welcome speech, followed by a keynote speech by the Special Guest of Honour Dr. Bernard B.B. Binagab, the National Chairman for CUA. James K. Addison will facilitate a talk on emotional Intelligence at the workplace, and Dr. Johnson Kwame Wotu, the Deputy General Manager (Admin, HR, Financial Service, & Accounts and CUTraC ) will talk on member value, a boardroom priority in sustaining a Credit Union.

Day two starts with Kofi Adimado’s talk on Corporate Governance, the Role of the BoD, and other Committees and Edmund Tetteh will also touch on the use of technology as a tool to drive impactful changes to a Credit Union.

On September 15, 2023, which is the climax of the three-day forum, Harrision Ahorgba will touch on creativity and innovative ways to reach members as a credit union, and Bernard Kelvin Clive will also touch on how to use Digital Marketing as a tool to enhance the image of a Credit Union.
