Sam Safo, a prominent Ghanaian artist and socialite known as Showboy, has been deported back to Ghana after spending six years in prison for stabbing Junior US.
Showboy was sentenced to six years in jail in March 2019 for stabbing the Ghanaian musician living in the United States following a scuffle.
Junior survived the stabbing but was murdered in a robbery assault in 2021, with many people accusing Showboy’s’ men’ of carrying out the crime.
Showboy was freed from jail a few years later, and in a recent video uploaded on social media, he was nabbed on the coasts of Ghana.
The former AMG Group co-founder announced his comeback on Instagram with a video of himself at the beach, beginning a ceremonial cleansing.
“I am back to pay homage to all the gods and my ancestors. I am back.” He spoke.
In the caption that accompanied his post, Showboy who disclosed how his mental health has since been disoriented by the entire encounter, thanked everyone who stood by him.
However, the appearance of Showboy has become the subject of discussion among social media users.
Following social media commentary, some netizens feel Showboy was given an injection by the prisoners, which is why he appears disfigured to some extent.
