The Founder of Queens Craft School of Catering and Decorations, Grace Anthony, has urged event planners and vendors to adapt to changes to meet the global standards of service delivery.
Speaking at the 5th edition of the Ghana Event and Industry Conference (G.E.I.C) in Takoradi, Mrs. Anthony said the world has rapidly developed technologically, giving space for individuals and corporate organisations to be innovative and creative in their service delivery hence creating a competitive industry.
To this, she entreated event vendors to adapt to changes like the use of technological devices such as mobile phones, to enhance service delivery to meet the ever-increasing market demands.
Mrs. Anthony further indicated that adapting to change is necessary as it opens the minds of event vendors to learn the modernised way of delivering services to the satisfaction of their clients.
“When a client complains after delivery of your services, it is right to accept the criticism in good faith and work towards self-improvement. Event vendors must also associate themselves with experts in the industry to help develop their skills,” she advised.
Speaking on the event theme, “Adaptability and Implementation,” National Executive Secretary of Ghana Tourism Federation, Caleb Kofie, said adaptability is not just about survival but embracing change, technology and sustainability.
“It’s about catering to the evolving needs of travelers and event patrons. And it’s creating an experience that not only meets but exceeds their expectations,” he added.
Mr. Kofie said through practical knowledge and the sharing of the best modern practices, the industry will gain the tools needed to make the event vendor sector more resilient, sustainable and competitive.
