The Chief Executive Officer of Girls Excellence Movement (GEM), Juliana Ama Kplorfia, has been recognised with the prestigious Outstanding Social Change Advocate Award, by the Humanitarian Awards Global (HAG) 2023.
This accolade celebrates her exceptional efforts in empowering and nurturing the potential of young women in the country.
Juliana Kplorfia, at the helm of the Girls Excellence Movement (GEM), has been an influential force in inspiring, educating, mentoring and informing young girls to become outstanding women of excellence, ready to take on leadership roles in various fields and spheres of life. Her dedication to empowering the youth, especially young ladies, has not gone unnoticed.
In her acceptance speech, Madam Kplorfia expressed her gratitude to the Humanitarian Awards Global, for acknowledging the tireless work of the GEM team in fulfilling their corporate social responsibility. She emphasised that the recognition will serve as a catalyst for furthering their charitable and humanitarian endeavours.
Reflecting on the challenges faced during the past year, Madam Kplorfia acknowledged the unwavering commitment of her team, composed of young professionals who, like her, have dedicated their time, resources and skills to bring about positive change.
She emphasised their collective mission to alter societal markers and stressed that over the past five years, they have made significant strides in doing so.
The 2023 the Humanitarian Awards Global, themed, “Celebrating Change Makers,” honoured individuals and organisations from across Africa who have made remarkable contributions to society through their exceptional leadership. Juliana Kplorfia’s achievement stands as a testament to her dedication to transforming the lives of young girls and nurturing them into future leaders, embodying the spirit of change celebrated at the event.
