O’Reilly SHS old student donates new visual arts school block to alma mater

O’Reilly Senior High School (SHS) in Accra has unveiled a new state-of-the-art visual art classroom block, following the generous donation of Mr. Samuel Quansah Quarcoo and his friends in the United States of America.

The dedication ceremony was held on August 15, 2023, and was attended by the students, parents, community members, and old students. Mr. Quarcoo and his friends were also in attendance, and they spoke about their motivation for donating to the building.

“We believe that every child deserves access to a quality education, regardless of their background. This new classroom block will provide our students with the space and resources they need to pursue their dreams in visual arts,” Mr. Quarcoo said.

The new classroom block is equipped with the latest technology and features flexible learning spaces that can be adapted to different instructional needs. It also has a dedicated space for storing art supplies and equipment.

The Headmistress of O’Reilly SHS, Mrs. Comfort Adu-Boakye, expressed her gratitude to Mr. Quarcoo and his friends for their generous donation. “This new classroom block is a game-changer for our school. It will allow us to offer our students a world-class visual arts education,” she said.

In addition to the classroom block, Mr. Quarcoo and his friends also donated 22 brand-new laptops, solar lights, 200 desks, school bags, and stationery worth thousands of dollars.
