AH Hotel and Conference has been adjudged as Hospitality Company of the Year at the third edition of National Business Honours Awards Night held in Accra on Saturday, August 19, 2023.
In addition to this, the General Manager of the company, Mr. Joseph Tetteh Quarshie Nartey was honoured with the award for National Business Hero of the year in the Hospitality sector.
The National Business Honours is a C-level high-impact, economic empowerment and leadership awards programme developed by Global Ovations to champion business growth, economic empowerment and job creation in Ghana. With the business community at heart and Ghana’s future in mind, the National Business Honours is committed to the promotion of professionalism and high standards of operation among sector players in industry across the country.
Addressing the media after the event, the General Manager of AH Hotel and Conference, Mr. Joseph T.Q. Nartey commended Global Ovations for their commitment to celebrating the captains of industry by motivating both individual professionals and organizations to strive for excellence in business leadership. He further acknowledged that the awards received by his company puts a huge responsibility on management to show leadership in the quality of their service going forward. He therefore stressed on the need for players in the hospitality industry to share experiences and new knowledge of service delivering to help grow the industry and the Ghanaian economy, given that the tourism sector is expected to contribute about 4 billion dollars by 2024.
Other recipients of the awards were; Accra City Hotel – Best Hotel Restaurant, Appointed Time Printing took the Outstanding Printing Company of the Year, Dredge Masters were adjudged Excellence in Leadership Award of the Year, Ghana Communication Technology University took the Academic Excellence Award.
Ultimate Business Icon of the Year Award went to Dr. Joseph Siaw Agyepong, the Executive Chairman of the Jospong Group of Companies. Innovative Learder of the Year Award went to Adwoa Frimpomaa Nimako-Boaten, MD of J.A Plant Pool Ghana. UCS Facility Management was adjudged National Janitorial Services Company of the Year. Twellium Ghana won the FMCG Manufacturing Company of the Year, Unilever Ghana Also too the Business with Purpose Award.
