Ghanaian former beauty queen and award-winning entrepreneur, Margaret Mwintuur Dery has been named as the youth brand ambassador for Cultural Oneness Festival, a subsidiary of The Taste Of Afrika Ltd.
Margaret Mwintuur Dery who is known for her advocacy work and empowering women, will be the face of Cultural Oneness Festival’s latest campaign aimed at empowering and supporting the youth especially young women in rural communities to improve upon their standards of living.
This will be in the area of a campaign against child marriage and associated outcomes in Northern Ghana. Besides, the need for girl-child education will be paramount throughout the campaign with Margaret Mwintuur Dery as the face.

Tengol K. Kplemani, a representative from Cultural Oneness Festival on the former beauty queen’s appointment, “added that the objective forms part of the company’s mission to help the Ghanaian youth appreciate their cultural heritage whiles educating young women about the importance of education and general well-being.
“We are excited to have Margaret Mwintuur Dery join us as our brand ambassador and now that we have her, there are going to be a lot of initiatives where we donate to young women who are in need, educate them about their cultural roots and on the extreme, give them basic training skills all in a bid to help raise their standard of living,” Tengol K. Kplemani told the media.
Margaret Mwintuur Dery is an award-winning entrepreneur who lives and works in Ghana. She holds a master’s degree from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration.
She served as Miss Ghana’s former beauty queen and worked on a number of causes, including reloading the nation’s blood bank, fighting child marriage, organizing donations to help scoliosis patients, and many more.

In order to raise the standard of living for women in rural communities, Margaret Dery works with them. She is an expert on topics relating to women’s empowerment.
Her interest in women’s and youth-related issues led her to take a job as an executive assistant with the national youth authority, where she supported the cause of improving the long-term living conditions for Ghana’s youth.
