Taste Of Afrika Ltd. has started a new event called “Cultural Oneness Festival” as part of efforts to promote and highlight the rich and diverse cultures of Ghana, Africa, her diaspora, and beyond.
On Friday, April 28, 2023, at the Radach Lodge & Conference Center in Tamale, the northern regional capital, the Cultural Oneness Festival’s ceremonial opening ceremony took place.
Guests of Honour
The ceremony was attended by many and was graciously honored by His Royal Majesty, Ndan Ya-Na Abubakari II, King of Dagbon, Prof. Edmond Delle, Paramount Chief of Nandom Traditional Area, Upper West region.

Mr. Shani Alhassan Saibu, Northern regional minister, Mr. Angelo Yossi Dogbe, Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) – Northern regional director with support from GTA regional directors in the northern territories including Oti region. Mr. Ben Anane Nsiah, Deputy CEO of GTA, Mr. Bessa Simons, acting MUSIGA President and a host of other dignitaries.
The Ethiopia Ambassador
The Ethiopian Ambassador, Asaye Dejjenie, demonstrated Ethiopians’ willingness to see African cultural diversity working together in a unifying front in our collective empowerment and survival through the use of agribusiness, tourism, arts, and culture among the people at the opening of the Cultural Oneness Festival.
The mission of the Cultural Oneness Festival
The Cultural Oneness Festival will celebrate and display the various cultural practices that unite us as people through food, fashion, music, language, traditions, and tourist attractions through modules like The Taste Of Afrika, Ghana Tourism Authority (Northern regional office), and Harlem Tourism Board (USA), opening up the continent for our economic development.
Founders’ Welcome Address
The creators of The Taste Of Afrika (TTOA), Mr. Tengol K. Kplemani and Martin Chris Glin, declared during the launch that the goal of the Cultural Oneness Festival is to see Afrikans working together in one unification, despite our diversity.
Miss Ghana 2017 Margaret Mwintuur Dery, who also serves as the women’s and young people’s ambassador for the Cultural Oneness Festival, attended the event and expressed her support for The Taste Of Afrika.
The august event, which marked the beginning of the Cultural Oneness Festival, was emceed by renowned Kwasi Kyei Darkwah (KKD) in the presence of famous people such as legendary musicians Atongo Zimba and Dada KD, as well as Fancy Gadam and Maccasio.
Cultural Oneness Festival
The Cultural Oneness Festival will establish a platform that will enable people from all cultural backgrounds and viewpoints to be recognized for their creative achievements.
Highlighting the cultural variety, tapestry, diverse ethnic groups, customs, music, dance artworks, and traditions of the Northern areas of Ghana will be given top importance in keeping with the goals and objective of Cultural Oneness Festival hosted by The Taste Of Afrika.
