Kyeiwaa has revealed why she opted to leave the movie industry and relocate to the US despite being one of the most popular actors gracing Kumawood a few years ago.
Granting a new interview since she arrived in Ghana, Kyeiwaa said she was paid a meagre ₵1,000 for her roles in movies and this informed her decision to go abroad to look for greener pastures.
“I was paid ₵1,000 for my movie roles, concerns were raised to increase my payment to 14,000 cedis but were declined.

The amount was usually paid in bits, which is a distortion of accounting. I dare anyone who claims I was paid such an amount to speak up,” she stated on her personal YouTube channel.
While in the US, Kyeiwaa, real name Rose Akua Ataa Mensah married Mr Michael Kissi Asare in a private ceremony attended by close family relations and friends in 2020.
This was after she divorced her previous husband of one week, Daniel Osei whom she engaged in a traditional ceremony in September 2015 after dating for some time.
Just before they could organize a white wedding days after the traditional wedding, Kyeiwaa found out that Osei was already married to another woman with whom he had children.
Heartbroken by the incident, Kyeiwaa ended the marriage and relocated to the states where she met Mr. Kissi.
