Nigerian comedian Basketmouth thinks Ghana has a lot of creative talent and that the reason it isn’t flourishing is that it has the tools necessary to advertise itself internationally.
The well-known Nigerian comedian and entertainer also asserted that, in contrast to their Nigerian counterparts, Ghanaians are not aggressive in promoting their own products.
The comedian said that Ghanaians are less enthusiastic about supporting their musical idols but argued that this needs to change if they want to see their artists succeed on a global scale.

“Ghana has a lot of great talent, but the problem is that they’re not getting the support they need to succeed. Nigerians are more aggressive when it comes to promoting their own, and that’s why our music is doing so well,” he said in an interview
Basketmouth also counselled Ghanaian musicians to promote their music and themselves more actively. He continued by saying that Ghanaians possessed wealth that Nigerians lacked. He claimed that venues and event centres in Ghana were superior.
He claimed that Nigeria was lacking in that respect and recommended Ghanaians make the most of it. Ghanaians appear to favour Nigerian music over Ghanaian music and have acquired a great liking for it.
