When all hope was lost, he came through for me- Nigerian comedian Dr Crazy recounts how Christian Atsu paid his school fees until he graduated

Former Ghana winger Christian Atsu has received a deluge of condolences on social media since news emerged that he has passed on as confirmed by his manager, days after the devastating earthquake that hit Turkey and Syria.

Following the plethora of tributes pouring in from all angles on the internet, Nigerian comedian Dr Craze has shared how the former Newcastle star saved him after his father passed away when all hope seemed lost.

The well-known comedian whose actual name is Emmanuel Iwueke said that Atsu had supported his tuition up till graduation after his father’s passing.

According to Craze Clown, the footballer had been encouraging him since 2015 and offered to help after the death of his father.

In a memorial tweet, the comedian thanked Atsu for his friendship and support and expressed how much he would miss him.

“When I lost my dad, he l reached out and offered to pay my fees till I graduated and he did. You’ve been a great friend of mine, Chris, and I will surely miss you. I really can’t hold back the tears. Rest well brother.”
