Colonel Assim Goita, the interim president of Mali, received a special message from President Akufo-Addo on Thursday in Bamako through National Security Minister Albert Kan Dapaah.
He headed a delegation from Accra that engaged Col. Goita in lengthy conversations about security in West Africa and the Sahel behind closed doors.
Following the meeting, Mr. Kan-Dapaah told the media that Ghana and Mali have had close historical ties stretching back to the early post-colonial years and that as a result, Ghana is concerned about the welfare and advancement of the Malian people.
