Ajax considering offers for forward Mohammed Kudus

Dutch Eredivisie club Ajax resisted selling forward Mohammed Kudus in the offseason. Even with the player attempting to force a move to Premier League club Everton, Ajax stood firm after selling Antony to Manchester United. Now, the Dutch club is ready to listen to offers for the Ghanaian international and could sell Kudus during the January transfer window.

Kudus excelled at the 2022 FIFA World Cup for the Black Stars. He scored two goals in three games for Ghana at the World Cup and was one of the team’s most impressive performers. Kudus is ued at €20 million by the transfer website Transfermarkt. However, Ajax could cash in on the player for more than €25m.

Ajax will return to European action in the Europa League playoffs in February against Germany’s Union Berlin. Football fans can find the best active promo codes before the game kicks off to bet on which team wins the matches between Ajax and Union Berling in the Europa League.

Ajax already saw their biggest ris in the Dutch Eredivisie, PSV Eindhoven, sell their star player in January. PSV Eindhoven agreed to a deal for more than €40m to sell forward Cody Gakpo to Liverpool. Reports claim Ajax will listen to offers for Kudus. However, it doesn’t mean the Amsterdam club will sell the Ghana international in the January transfer window. Some desperate teams around Europe could stump up the money to add the attacking player.

Kudus is linked with a move to some big clubs, including Manchester United, Borussia Dortmund, and Chelsea. One of the most interesting teams that are currently linked to Kudus is Newcastle United. The English Premier League team is one of the richest in the world after being taken over by Saudi Arabian owners just over a year ago.

Newcastle United are third in the Premier League and nine points behind Arsenal in the title race. The Magpies are five points clear of fifth-place Tottenham Hotspur, as they attempt to qualify for the Champions League. Newcastle United’s need for more attacking players is apparent and Kudus could be added to create and score goals.

Premier League leaders Arsenal are also linked with Kudus’ signature. The Gunners are also seeking another attacking player in January after striker Gabriel Jesus suffered a serious knee injury at the World Cup with Brazil.

The money available to Arsenal and Newcastle United from their owners could make it a two-horse race for Kudus’s signature. However, former Ghana national team manager, Otto Addo, could help Germany’s Borussia Dortmund lure Kudus to Signal Iduna Park. Addo coached Kudus at the World Cup and currently works as a talent coach at Borussia Dortmund.

Kudus has 10 goals and two assists in 21 games for Ajax this season. He was especially impressive in the Champions League group stage, scoring four goals in six games, as Ajax finished third in their group behind Liverpool and Napoli. Kudus’s performances in the Champions League are likely to be the catalyst for big teams in the Premier League and Germany to be after the forward.
