“Human beings be trash waaa” – M3nsa fumes over 15-year jail term for phone snatcher » ™

Ghanaian musician M3nsa has disagreed with a judgment made by a court for a petty crime committed by a moto rider.

The musician took to Twitter to react to an article shared by a media house, Starr FM about an okada rider jailed for 15 years for snatching a mobile phone from someone.

According to the story, a motor rider, Emmanuel Waki, 21, has been sentenced to serve 15 years jail term after pleading guilty to robbing a bystander of his mobile phone in front of the Police CID Headquarters.

Reports say that the robbery happened on the 19th of December where it was witnessed by the Inspector General of Police and his bodyguards who were then returning from routine observational duties.

The police were said to have given the robber a chase after snatching the phone leading to the arrest of the okada rider identified as Salifu, who in turn led the police to Old Fadama to arrest the culprit Waki.

Reacting to the news, M3nsa expressed shock over how the accused was given a 15-year jail term for a petty incident.

He wrote on Twitter, “People are poor, and hungry, and desperate. Committing petty crimes in front of even more corrupt institutions and personnel doesn’t change the core of the issue,” his tweet on January 5, 2023, read. “15yrs for what? To destroy his life even further? Human beings we be trash waaaa”.
