Dr William Samoei Ruto is currently the fifth president of Kenya, a republican country after defeating his main competitor Rt Raila Odinga Omollo who was running for the county’s top office for the fifth time. President William Samoei Ruto has never lost any election and he is aiming to retain the powerful top seat till 2032.
In his administration, he has done many changes through invention and innovation in order to satisfy the common mwananchi popularly termed as Hustlers by him. Even though he is trying to fix the country’s economic crisis rumoured to have been destroyed by Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga, those who are in opposition are also criticizing him.
Recently, Ruto challenged the Kenyans and especially the entrepreneurs that they have to pay tax in every business they are involved in like rentals, plot saling, mitumba and many more. Today, ODM senator Hon Ledama Ole Kina has criticized Ruto’s government claiming that the administration is aiming to over tax the Hustlers.
Senator Ledama Ole Kina claimed that finance act 2022 will punish hustlers more than dynasties. From January 2023 when you buy or sell property or shares you will pay 15% taxes. Another painful reality of the Kenya Kwanza regime.
