Priscilla Owusuaa, 36, has used a kitchen knife to stab her husband in the head after the husband refused to increase her chop money; money for housekeeping. Priscilla, sitting at the Prabon Police station, targeted her husband’s afro head, and with a 14CM kitchen knife, stabbed her husband before running to her mother’s house.Â
Eyewitness Elijah Nketiah narrated that, Priscilla did not stay at the crime scene after the accident and took to her heels without thinking about the wounded man. Prince Akwesi Yeboah, the victim, breathed heavily for eight minutes before he collapsed.Â
Prince did not see anything after eight minutes. We even thought he was dead and bathed him with several buckets of water before transporting him to the hospital. Everyone was crying that, he was dead because the body looked dead too as when the taxi arrived to carry him to the hospital, Nketiah Elijah stated after the incident.Â
Nketiah together with the other tenants who helped in the transportation of the victim, Yeboah Prince, to the Ejisu Hospital, thought the victim had died but health officials at Ejisu were able to bring Yeboah back to life.Â
Yeboah who was confirmed to have gone into a coma was admitted to the hospital at noon and came back to life at 3 PM after spending over five hours (9AM to 3PM) in a coma. It was after his survival, he recounted what happened to him.Â
Yeboah in his narration, confirmed that the wife had asked him for an increase in her usual 7Cedis daily chop money, but when he refused to increase it this morning, the wife blocked him from going to work. I told her I will beat her if she kept wasting my time, but all that was a lie until she hit me with a pillowcase.Â
I lost my temper and gave her a blow. She fell and I went over to pick her. I was bending down to pick her from the floor when she used the knife to stab my head, Prince stated after his survival from a coma.Â
Priscilla was arrested at 5 PM at Prabon, a neighbouring community of Ejisu. Priscilla has denied speaking and hasn’t said a word after her arrest this evening. She is still at the Prabon Police station.
